Carmen Achong
Born and raised in the great state of New Jersey, with Colombian roots, Carmen Achong has a deep love for people and her passionate pursuit of God’s heart is the fuel for everything she does. For the last 15 years, Carmen has served in ministry in different capacities, from live production to weekend video production & direction and more. As she was serving in ministry, Carmen was employed by iHeartMedia, where she worked for 6 years as a Copywriter, On-air Talent, and Radio Imaging Voice. She also invested over a decade in Human Resources in the aviation industry and even worked as a Flight Attendant for an elite South Florida charter airline.
Aside from her studies in TV & Radio Broadcasting, Carmen also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Ministerial Leadership with a track in Pastoral Care & Counseling from SouthEastern University.
She loves learning about mental health and has earned several certifications. Loves music and traveling, and spending time with her family by cycling, walking and enjoying an eminently competitive sports day once in a while. She and her husband Ian enjoy exploring all the culinary variety that South Florida has to offer, and love investing in the lives of the people around them.
Ian Achong
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Ian Achong has been in ministry from a very young age. Continuing a legacy of three generations of pastors in his family. Ian moved to the United States as a teenager and finished his education in Florida with a degree from FAU and multiple certifications in counseling, leadership, and theology. Prior to pursuing full-time ministry, Ian’s passion and knowledge in broadcasting, film, and creative visual arts led him to manage creative teams for over 15 years.
Pastor Ian considers it a joy to build strong and effective teams of church leaders that can impact the world for Christ and the local community around them. He is passionate about developing leaders and teaching skills that will transform someone's life.
When he and his wife Carmen aren’t trying some delicious eats in Miami, playing music, or analyzing some of filmmaking’s finest work, they are pouring into and investing in the lives of their children, grandchildren, close friends and community.
